The big question

Can a livery make it impossible to tell what colour the car actually is?

The whole project was aimed at something totally non-standard.

One element runs the full length of the side and carries over onto the hood in a single smooth transition, with the grey flames hatched to imitate carbon.

The brief

The design takes its language from 2000s airbrush work and pushes it somewhere less predictable. The white body and the dark lower half are split by a chrome flame line, and the chrome adds depth across the whole side. Look at it long enough and you still cannot say what the base colour is.
